Jacob and I are making the familiar drive from Nashville to Chicago as I write this. For most of the journey I have been staring at my computer screen reading a PDF of the novel by Chris Coppernoll entitled "A Beautiful Fall" set to release in a couple months. Chris interviewed me during GMA week back in April, and because of his genuine nature and original questions, it turned out to be one of my favorite interviews, so naturally I was honored when Chris asked me to endorse his new book. I just finished the last chapter, and my heart was so very encouraged by the redemptive story. Now here I am, making the most of the battery life I have left, listening to John Mayer, Live in LA as Jacob moves us closer to home.
Home. Now that's somewhere I haven't been in a while, and I must say that I am very excited about sleeping in my own bed tonight. But before I lay my head on my pillow a little later, I will inevitably reflect upon the faces I have seen these last couple weeks and the conversations I've had with many new friends. My favorite part about being on the road is getting to hear the stories and testimonies face to face and having the opportunity to meet others that are simply walking the narrow road, learning what it means day after day to work out their salvation with fear and trembling, trusting Jesus through seasons of blessing and seasons of trial alike. I am spurred on by your faith and humbled by your encouraging words. So without getting too long-winded like I usually do, let me just say a simple 'thank you' to each of you. Thank you for your sweet words, whether spoken or written. For the personal stories you share that bring tears to my eyes. For your willingness to be honest about struggles and hardships. For your openness to receive His promise over you, no matter how bleak the circumstances may appear. We're all in this together, my friends, and my prayer for you is that you would continue to respond to the greatest invitation, the one to personally know Jesus as Lover and Lord. May we always remember that not only is it an initial awakening, but even more so, a continual, daily commitment to run after the Great Pursuer. Let us continue to spur one another on toward Love...
Deeper
Meredith,
Someone just gave me the lyrics to your song, "Deeper".
I had written about Diving in Deep on my blog and they thought of your song.
I loved it. It displays what my heart has found.
If you would like to read my writing on diving into the deep waters...you can check out my blog:
