Happy Thanksgiving!

Ah, Thanksgiving. One of my favorite days of the year. As I look forward to my first Thanksgiving in Louisiana with my husband's family along with my parents and brother Jonathan, of course I am excited for our time together and food galore. I even feel a bit like a kid in a candy store at the thought of most everyone I love being under the same roof, sharing the same table, laughing and conversing for a whole day. It will be wonderful. But I can't help but take a step back and simply examine the word given to this special holiday. Thanksgiving. Many different images fill our minds at the mention of this word, whether it be turkey and stuffing, Pilgrims and Indians, family and football, pumpkins and harvest, but may we be especially reminded this Thanksgiving of all we've been given and how blessed we really are. May we allow ourselves to ponder what we have received, deserved or undeserved, relishing in the fact that God is the giver of all good gifts for our benefit and His glory. May we not forget those who are without loved ones or even food this Thanksgiving, to the point that we are moved to action on their behalf. Let us give sincere thanks from our grateful hearts when we consider Christ's death on the cross that we may live, the greatest gift of all time that is the focal point of every believer's life. We have so much to be thankful for, not limited to what we can hold in our hand or see with our eyes. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

Thankful for you, Meredith!

I have been wanting to share for some time now that your music is having a far-reaching effect to bless and advance The Kingdom of God in ways that only He can accomplish. My husband, Mark, and I have been involved with a great ministry for about two years now (Save Our Kids Outreach) that travels to minister to not only all of the North Carolina juvenile detention centers and a few prisons but internationally as well. Several months ago, while planning our Christ-centered program to the local detention center, my husband was led to use your song, "You're Not Alone" as part of the program. The anointed words so spoke to us and the youth about the difficulties of their life and how very alone they often feel in their circumstances that many broke out in tears thereby opening the doors for personal ministry to those youth. It had such a powerful effect that they not only asked us to play it again but then requested we provide the detention center with a copy of the CD for them to listen to whenever they had opportunity. We have also since added your song, "The Invitation" when we are planning Christ-centered programs where we are given the freedom to pray with and for the youth to receive or re-dedicate their lives to Christ. Since that time, I have also given your CD to a young woman I am ministering to who is recovering from some very difficult life situations. She absolutely loves it and tells me how very deeply it is ministering to her and helping to bring healing to so many places in her that the Lord has wanted to touch for some time now. Thank you for faithfully delivering all that the Lord has and is putting into you with such passion and excellence! You are truly a gift to the world and I know the Lord must take great pleasure in your expression of Him. Please continue to spend that intimate time with Him so that more of that alabaster oil can pour forth from you to the world. God bless you Meredith!

Airplane :)

Hey Meredith!! I have some ironic news for you. My name is London and I live in Michigan and I was on my way from Memphis to Louisiana for Thanksgiving to visit some of my family, and I happened to have a seat right next to your dad, Bill! Your mom, Becky, and your brother Jonathon were across from me and your dad. Your family is really nice and I enjoyed sitting near them... I personally don't own your cd, but a couple of my friends do, so I will DEFINITELY have to listen to some of your music :) Your dad seemed very proud of you and how far you've come and just know that he loves you VERY much. If you can, it would be really cool if you could e-mail me back or add me to myspace or something. My name is London Moore by the way, so hopefully I'll talk to ya later!
